Measuring For A Bracelet

Bracelet Sizing, Measuring for a bracelet, liz.beth jewelry co.
  1. The easiest way to get your bracelet size is to measure a bracelet that you already own and fits you the way you like.  Just stretch it out and measure with a ruler.  If you're happy with the way this bracelet fits, then this measurement is the bracelet size that you can use to order a bracelet.
  2. If you're measuring your wrist, always measure around the wrist at the wrist bone. Select a place on your wrist where you'd like the bracelet to lie.  To take the measurement you can use a ribbon, piece of string, strip of paper and a ruler, or a cloth measuring tape if you have one around. See photo.
  3. If you're using a strip of paper or string, mark where the end of the bracelet needs to be and then measure the paper/string with a ruler. NOTE: this gives you your wrist measurement, not your bracelet size.
  4. Now you need to determine your bracelet size.  To do that, just increase your wrist measurement in the following increments to determine the bracelet size for how you want the bracelet to fit:
    • Add 1/4 inch for a comfortable fit
    • Add 1/4 to 1/2 inch for a more loose fit
EXAMPLE:  Wrist size is 6.5 inches and you'd like a more loose fit.  6.5 inch wrist + 1/2 inch = 7 Inch bracelet size

    Measuring For An Anklet

Measuring for an anklet, anklet sizing, ankle bracelet, liz.beth jewelry co.
    1. As with wrist bracelets, the easiest way to get your anklet size is to measure an anklet that you already own and fits you the way you like.  Just stretch it out and measure with a ruler.  If you're happy with the way this anklet fits, then this measurement is the anklet size that you can use to order a new anklet.
    2. If you're measuring your ankle, always measure around your leg at the ankle bone. Select a place on your ankle where you'd like the anklet to lie.  To take the measurement you can use a ribbon, piece of string, strip of paper and a ruler, or a cloth measuring tape if you have one around. See photo.
    3. If you're using a strip of paper or string, mark where the end of the anklet needs to be and then measure the paper/string with a ruler. NOTE: this gives you your ankle measurement, not your anklet size.
    4. Now you need to determine your anklet size.  As noted in my anklet product descriptions, I add extra links to your anklet to give you an adjustability range of 9.25 to 9.5 inches.  If you need an anklet size outside of that dimension, please take your ankle measurement and modify by the following increments to determine the anklet size for how you want the anklet to fit:
      • Add 1/4 inch for a comfortable fit
      • Add 1/4 to 1/2 inch for a more loose fit
EXAMPLE:  Ankle size is 9.0 inches.  9.0 inch ankle + 1/4 inch = 9.25 Inch anklet size.  My standard size anklet will fit you in this case.
